Did you know that it’s De-lurking week? That means that you need to leave comments on the blogs you like to visit, because a lot of us don’t like to feel like we’re writing to the Great Void and appreciate knowing that you’re out there. So please, whether you’re a regular commenter, an silent reader, or just someone who passed on through by following a link from somewhere else, say something! Tell me your favorite joke, or where you would love to travel, maybe tell me what color your favorite pair of underwear is, or let me know which celebrity you have a huge crush on. Tell me anything!
(Note to spam bots: Trying to sell me Vi@gra will not be included, thanks anyway!)
Just speak up for one brief moment. And then, when you visit the next weblog on your blogroll, do the same for them!

I don’t know how I stumbled across this site, but I’ve been “reading” it for about two weeks now. Couples who “shack up,” i.e. live together without the “benefit” of marriage always fascinate me, being it that I am a partner in one of them–although my boyfriend has not stepped up to the plate and proposed yet. Glad to know that I’m not the only one in this living situation! Other than that I have absolutely nothing in common with you (except for, perhaps my potty mouth), but you have an interesting site, definitely.
Well, I’m a regular commenter. 🙂 My new celebrity crush is Dane Cook. He’s pretty friggin’ hot.
Otherwise .. what else do you want to know? I’ve been reading you for years and I never miss an entry (here and in the journal). Keep it up!
Happy De-Lurking Week! This is my first visit, will be back, it’s a good read. Thanks!
Yeah, i’m the one who (mostly) keeps a low profile while lurking around… I feel creepy now!
I read your site with my morning coffee (i.e., this minute). I like underwear in classical colours. I had a crush on John Cusak and, before that, River Phoenix. I also have a ‘crush’ on your lovely girls. Good luck with the one-to-two handling. I seriously think you’re doing great so far.
I’m a long time reader/lurker. I’ve been reading your journal since before Hayley was born. I think I added your journal to my bookmarks because you were canadian and I liked your photographs. I’m a 34 year old, married, childless woman. Though I don’t plan on having children of my own, I enjoy reading your adventures with motherhood.
Sometimes I read your sister’s blog and I think I live in the same general area that she does. (I’m in Halifax, natch).
I don’t really have much in common with you besides the fact that I live with my boyfriend whom I have no plans to marry. I don’t have kids and still need to finish my education.
I like whatever underwear managed to make it through another laundry cycle without developing gaping holes. Eric refers to such “holey underwear” as Papal. 😛
happy dlw! *wavin*
Delurking week – I like it.
Long time reader, infrequent commenter and have little pleasant to say when it’s freezing rain and blecchy. Oh, except post more pics of your adorable little ladies.
ohhhh okay, (crawling out from under lurker rock) been reading since BH, love your writing and your photography. Thank you for sharing your life with us. The journals I read are often the highlight of my day.
I like your terrorism button 🙂
I’m an American who has been reading for a couple of years or so; I don’t honestly remember how long, or how I came across you. You already had Hayley when I came across you thought. No kids, one husband, two dogs.
At one time I harbored dreams of a family of my own so I read journals of those with kids. It was kind of an obsession for a while. Now, most have fallen away from my reads, but a few, you included, remain.
Hi over there! My favorite undies, hands downs, are the ones that are brightly coloured, especially the magenta ones.
I once had a magenta bra, but the label said the colour was (I swear I am not making this up) MELON.
Hi Sherry! Let’s see…favorite panties at the moment are turquiose with purple polka-dots from VS. My celebrity crush is Johnny Depp or any dark-haired cutie with an accent other than American. 🙂
And here I was thinking I’d be so original by telling you my favorite pair of underwear are the hi-cut pastel polka-dot ones.
My current celebrity crush is Eric Bana. He recently moved up one rank on my list over Jude Law and that’s saying something.
Someday when I have the time, money and nerve, I’m going to see the polar bears on Hudson Bay.
I don’t have a favorite joke, but this morning over coffee I was reading Entertainment Weekly. They have this feature called “Stupid Questions” and this week’s interviewee was Craig Ferguson. He was asked, “You played a hairdresser in [some movie]. What do you think of Sienna Miller’s new shag?” His answer? “Oh, I’ve always been a big fan of Jude Law. Still am.”
That pretty much sent the coffee straight up my nose.
Hello! Delurking to say that I’ve been reading you for ages…I remember when Hayley was born (just a day or so after my own birthday), I was so excited to have a semi-birthday buddy.
Anyway…happy delurking week! 😀
ive commented before.
but i have a “request” if you will.
i wanna see a side-by-side shot of the two girls at the same age! ie a pic of haley at 6 weeks and breanna at 6 weeks. no real reason…just because its fun to see family resemblence 😉
deanna, the pediatric nurse [and once home care lactation nurse! yay!] from nyc. teehee.
Hmmm…right now my favorite pair of underwear are any that will stay up over my suprisingly early expanding pregnant belly!
Happy de-lurking!
Uh, hi.
I’ve been lurking for, what, 3+ years? I found you from my search referals years and years ago.
I have a completely unexpected “thing” for Adrien Brody, post-King Kong. Inexplicable. 🙂
Hi Sherri,
I’ve been a long time reader, but seldom comment. I don’t know why, but I will try to more in the future. I initially started to read your site because links from other sites I read led me to you. My children are grown and reading about your babies brings back fond memories.
I’m from San Diego, CA and mom/step mom to 5 great kids.
Sandy
Just saying delurking to say Hi! Hmm, favorite color underwear is probably a periwinkle/blue that I love. 🙂
Hi! We have corresponded a few times through email, but I wanted to de-lurk and say Hi! I have been reading since Hayley was little and am especially interested in life with the new baby. I also have a 5 month old baby and love the stories about your girls!
Keep up the writing and I second the request for a side by side photo of the two girls 🙂
Marianne
Hi Sherry!
I’ve been reading since Dec. 02′. At that time, I was semi-involved with Mommie Talk and that’s how I found your blog. My son, Will is the same age as Hayley, also born in September. I also have a 13 month old daughter, Lily. I live in Metro New York. I really enjoy reading the mom “stuff”. BTW, Hayley is too funny and so smart.
I’m here and reading… although through RSS feeds so I don’t come by too often to comment! Delurking to say HI! *grin*
Orlando Bloom, baby. He and I are destined to be together – he just doesn’t know it yet. 🙂
hi, you’ve seen me around but I’m pretty quiet. for some reason it feels silly to comment on parent-y weblogs because I don’t have any kids of my own. (except my students but that is a whole different thing… obviously.) but I’ve been reading since hayley was a baby and it’s so cool now to see her big-sistering!
Hi Sherry,
I have been reading your blog since Haley was born. I was working at the same company as George and pregnant with my now almost 3 year old at the time. I always followed your blog cause I love your writing. I never commented cause I didn’t want to seem like a creepy stalker.
You know I’m here. My day was filled with payroll and year end things…we also put an offer in for a new house. We’ll hear something by noon tomorrow. I think I need drugs to sleep tonight!
HI 🙂
Hi, I haven’t been a regular reader, but I saw a comment you left on someone’s lj and just popped by to read about your new baby! I’ll probably become a regular reader now though, it’s nice to read other people with little babies. My baby turned 10 weeks today 🙂
Andrea is serving cake at her delurking party, are you serving cake, too?
Jana – Of course not. The cake would taste funny with the tequila shooters I’m serving up.
I’m a regular…been reading for awhile. I think your stories about Hayley (and now Breanna) are extremely funny….most recently, the ones about Hayley swearing 🙂
aloha! 🙂
uh oh! I don’t want to get in trouble so HI! hope you are having a good day!! see ya around 😀 😀 😀
Hi Sherry! I’ve been reading your blog now for a few years (not sure quite how many). Love the pictures and hearing how your pregnancies have gone. Good sense of humor, you have!

Hi Sherry. You’re my favorite Canadian. 🙂
Hi!
Been reading since just before Hayley was born, only commented a few times I think. Love all your stories about Hayley. I have two boys 4 and 1 1/2. Look forward to many more funny stories 🙂
I think you’re a great read. But I must admit that I have been known just to look at the pictures when I’m in a hurry one day.
Hi Sherry! I’ve been reading since Clay Aiken was on American Idol (I found your website while you were posting on one of his fan sites). I comment every once in a while!
Let’s see…favorite joke? I’ve got two. What did the number 0 say to the number 8? Hey, I like your belt!
Why is 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 “8” 9!
I would love to travel to Australia.
My favorite color pair of underwear is red.
I’m not too big on celebrity crushes but I really like Paul Rudd and Luke Wilson (oh yeah, Anderson Cooper too). I think they’re all SO cute! 🙂
