Who else is willing to admit to watching Dancing With The Stars last night? (Or perhaps Dancing With The Washed-Up Stars With Several Instances Of “Who?!”)
I confess – I love this show. I miss Mario Lopez from last season because damn, he could dance, even if he did only come in second. Still, last night was entertaining. Thus far I am really liking Ian Ziering who surprised me by actually being able to move and did a great job. It also helps that he’s dancing with Cheryl who is the real star.
I also found myself blown away by Laila Ali who was so incredibly amazing. I would love to see her make it to the final showdown.
Whatshisface who used to play Cliff on Cheers was pretty damn good for someone who only had two weeks to prepare since he was a replacement. He wasn’t mind-blowing but he was good enough with so little prep time that I’m looking forward to seeing his next try. Plus, Edyta is my second favorite dancer on the show. She is so damn cute and if I looked like that I’d be happy indeed.
Horror show of the night? Billy Ray Cyrus, because Jesus Christ what was that supposed to be? It’s achy-breaky-heartbreaking that poor Karina is stuck with him because she is my favorite dancer out of all of them and I’m sure that while she was wearing that stupid fake mullet and being flung around by Mr. Cheese she was closing her eyes and wishing she was still dancing with Mario. (Speaking of which, did that romance ever last? Because they were so cute and also really steamy.)
Everyone else was either just middle-road or too boring for me to notice. Leeza Gibbons? YAWN.
Except Heather Mills. I know I’m not the only one who thought it, but I’ll be the one who says it: I hope that money-grubbing bitch spins around and trips over her leg and falls flat on her face. I don’t know what the point is of having her on the show other than to have a bit of drama. I can’t imagine too many people still like her after the Divorce of the Century Battle and being on the show doesn’t gain her any sympathy votes, it just makes her look like a smug witch. (Oh come on, I don’t get all catty very often. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Paul is at home wishing the same thing.)
Results aren’t until next Tuesday. I would have a really huge laughing fit if she was booted off the show first. I’d even be willing to watch Billy Ray Cyrus for another week in exchange for that.
I will admit to watching it. It was my first time though. And, in reality, only because of Ian Zeiring. And I MISSED him. Damn kids had control of the tv clicker. 😉
YAY YOU! I hate that Beatle-money-stealing biatch, too!
OK I admit it’s the first time I have ever watched it; don’t think I will be going back for more. Gee Sherry i wish you weren’t so shy about your Heather M feelings – let t out girl! LOL
I was really impressed by Ian Ziering as well… I am officially rooting for him. 🙂
Yes, I watched and I miss Mario too. I hope someone comes through with some “ta-da” so it is interesting. I even blogged about it on my new blog Life in Reality if you wanna go see my thoughts on it…www.lifeinreality.com
I watched it, but not until yesterday. I can NOT watch the damn show live. The rambling and practices and hoopla drives me nuts; I just want to see the dancing. So I have the DVR record it and then I whip through everything but the actual dances.
I was glad to see Emmitt Smith win last time. I’m not a Mario fan. He could dance but his attitude drove me bonkers.
I agree with your Heather feelings though. And the idea of watching Billy Ray again in all his clumsiness just to get rid of her. When the show was first hyped up and they rattled of those participating I don’t think they even knew how to categorize her. On Monday they called her charity worker or something like that, but in all the lead ups they called her “celebrity”. I chuckled.
