Yesterday, the fog here in Montreal was nuts. I guess that it’s a positive sign of nice warm temperatures to come. I like fog, to be honest. I would probably do really well in London. On our way back from the dollar store (seriously, the laundry detergent at the dollar store works just as well as the expensive brands and it’s a BUCK), I stopped for a minute to take a couple of pictures.
It looks like the clouds fell right out of the sky and landed in this field.
And I just loved how eerie this looked, with no one around, a layer of fog everywhere, and a lone bright red umbrella stuck in the fence. It was almost creepy.
Last night the fog got much thicker. I wish I could have taken a shot of it. You couldn’t see more than a few feet in the distance. When I peered out our front sliding doors, you could barely see the railing of our balcony and nothing else, as though our apartment was floating up in the sky. Crazy fog.
It kind of works out well because today it’s my head that is foggy. For no apparent reason, Breanna has woken up for four nights in a row, around 4 am, and has kept me up for hours. Last night – or should I say this morning? – she had me awake from 4 until 7 am. I wish I knew why because at least if I knew there was a good reason it might make it easier. As a result, I am really tired and my brain feels like it’s wrapped up in some of that fog too. I’ve already had two cups of coffee and I just want to go make another one. Or maybe take a nap.
Alas, there is no such thing as napping with these two kids of mine. Maybe I’ll have some tea for a tiny bit of caffeine but without having enough to screw me up royally.
You know, I know it’s been almost a week now but I’m still totally blaming the time change. Breanna’s teething is on hold right now, she wasn’t upset at all on any of her late nights, and there’s nothing else I can think of. Hayley has been going to sleep well past 10 each night (last night it was about 11!), and we’ve all been sleeping in in the mornings because we’re so tired from staying up too late. I hate time changes, they should seriously be outlawed.
Yawn.

The same fog came down here. 🙂 I woke up to it, and it just cleared up. It was *really* spooky.
And I didn’t have my camera.
I write on A Crack ‘n Life at http://www.acracknlife.squarespace.com and I have tagged you for Kristen at MOtherhoodUncensored.com’s me-me, you can go read mine or hers to get an idea of how they go, Here’s the rules though:
These are the rules: Put up a post “Real Moms [insert what you do here]”, followed by an explanation, a picture, and a “Real Moms. Making ….”.
Please tell me which detergent this is so I can go get some.
Kathy – It’s called Xtra. It’s a powdered detergent in a blue box. It’s really great, no strong scent.
