I have to tell you, it is so hard to stay up right now. I’ve been up since 6:30 this morning and I have to go for a prenatal appointment shortly. However, it’s 8 degrees outside and it’s also grey and drizzling out there. All the blankets on the bed are looking mighty inviting. And I’d even settle for lying on the couch since Hayley would refuse to go back to bed by now.

Unfortunately I can’t do that as tempting as it is. When I was pregnant with Hayley I really enjoyed going to prenatal appointments, but once you already have one child and you have to pack up your own purse with something to pass the time (knitting, book) and a diaper bag with a potty seat, change of underwear/pants, and a couple of toys, it starts to lose its charm.

Oh well, at least I’ll get to hear the heartbeat again, and I do have a couple of questions to ask anyway which is a nice change from my usual “nope, no questions today!”

Better get going!
