I give up. Seriously.
I still have some work to do so I thought I’d go make myself a cup of tea. I boiled the kettle, then when it was done I unplugged it. I went and got a tea bag out and dropped it in a cup.
I like my tea to be pretty dark so I left it for a few minutes, then came back to remove the tea bag and put some milk in.
I forgot to pour the water in the cup. The tea bag was sitting, dry as ever, in an empty cup.
How many years can you get away with blaming faulty memory on kids and resulting sleep deprivation? Do I need to find a new excuse?
Did you read my post where I left to take son number 2 to the doctor but when I pulled out of the daycare driveway, I had forgot to get son #2 and take him with me…no girl, dry tea is nothing!
Oh, you can use that excuse for a good 20 years, and then you can switch to using your age. 😉
I hate hate hate when that happens. I do the same thing all the time! I usually decide to skip the tea since I don’t want to stand there and wait for the water to boil again lol…
Andrea stole my comment idea.
At least you didn’t try to drink the teabag.
I enjoy lattes. Several times I have loaded my espresso machine with water and coffee … and forgotten to turn it on. It is going to be a LONG time before that coffee gets made.
