So we decided that having a 3-year-old and a new baby due to arrive within the next month or so, plus two rats and one bozo cat just weren’t enough. And we added six new members to our household.
Hayley spent most of the day trying to do her normal things but ended up constantly gravitating to the bookshelf to look at them.
She named them Goldie, Dorothy (inspired by Elmo’s fish), Nemo, Oscar (inspired by Shark Tale), Angie (ditto), and one other who has been called Dory or Bruce (from Nemo) but doesn’t seem to have a set name.
I forgot how much I love goldfish. They’re so relaxing to watch.
You know, I’ve been reading you since just before Hayley arrived and just about every day since.
I just have to say…you are an amazing mother. You always seem to have a project that stimulates Hayley and fosters a nurturing spirit in her. She (and baby sister) are very lucky to have such an attentive and thoughtful mommy.

DH has been wanting to get fish for a while now, but I’ve resisted. Maybe for Christmas. I always wonders how the cats would react to having fish.
I love fishies too. We used to have two tanks at home and they were so nice to watch. The cat especially liked to watch them too. 🙂 heh
