Sheesh. I guess I’m a little ill-prepared for the coming winter. This afternoon I took the girls to the park. They were both wearing pants (duh), t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, and coats. I also put a hat on Breanna. I wasn’t wearing a sweater, just a t-shirt under my coat, but I also wore my Harry Potter Slytherin scarf (god, I must admit my inner dork is happy to have an excuse to wear that again, and some day I really must finish my Gryffindor scarf too).
It was still freezing. It’s only 8C out there. In fact we’ve been home for almost 20 minutes and Breanna is sitting here on my lap and her hands are still little blocks of ice; next time I’ll have to put her little mitts on too.
I’m not looking forward to another long winter.

yea its freezing out here too!! its been 20s nad 30s today and last night and then the rest of the week some 50s nad 60s and 70s then 40s so wierd i hate this wierd weathter JUST BE COLD lol i love the cold! snow i love!

It’s that damn global warming. Seems like only yesterday I was complaining about the winter cold. I don’t recall moaning about the summer heat as much this year as last. Me thinks this is only a quick preview of what is to come. I like sleeping when it is cold (under a BUNCH of warm blankets) BUT I hate having to crawl out in the morning when everything I touch is cold.

MG had soccer at 8:30 this morning. The frost obscured the white lines on the field. Ugh.
I’m glad I went through an organizing streak a while ago and found mittens & hats!
gah, it’s too cold too early.
This time of year makes me want to stay in the house with my flannel pants on. What did I do last night? Took off my flannels and went out to play soccer in a freezing cold dome!
That is one of the reasons why I don’t balk so much at paying the big bucks to live in the Bay Area. I grew up in Chicago and although I do miss the change of the seasons, I don’t miss living in the cold. I’m a wimpy CA girl now. Y’all wanna come for a visit? We can chat in the hot tub!
