  1. heck yeah!! my friend told me about this idea a few months ago. she lives in Santa Cruz, CA so something like guerrilla gardening does not seem so far out for that part of the state. i had no idea it was such a big movement. i was thinking that instead of actively landscaping a specific area like the people from that link, i was going to start buying wild flower seeds and just giving them a toss. no shovel required. can do from the car window. PLUS they will reseed themselves year after year. the area will only get prettier! i like cosmos myself. i bought one seed packet 3 years ago and last year i must have given away an ounce or more of seeds.

  2. Check your neighborhood before attempting this. In some area’s some people apparently have nothing better to do but to uproot and steal your freshly planted flowers and trees the night following their introduction to your garden.

I would have had a whole lot more green in my front yard, but halas, I don’t want to spend hundreds of euro’s on plants that will find their way in to somebody else’s garden the very next day.

If no such things are taking place in your area, by all means, liven it up a bit. And who could possibly oppose to youths actually shovelling weeds instead of smoking ‘weed’.
