This is what Breanna’s been practicing lately.

In case it’s not totally clear, that would be my eight-month-old BABY standing. Unassisted. And she’s good at it. See?

The hand in the background is not hanging onto George at all. That hand is actually blurry because while she was standing ALL ALONE she was also waving her hand around, trying to grab George’s Freezie.

What is with all these crazy over-achiever babies? It’s like they read the books and see the average age for a skill is X months old and they take it as a personal challenge. “Oh yeah?! Pffft, I’ll do that by the end of the day!”

Yeesh.

Oh, and yeah. She got that Freezie too.

  1. It’s amazing how quick the second child does things, they seem to do things faster watching the older one. I got to say watch out though, she looks like she’s on her way to walking very soon. My first son walked at 8 1/2 months, he started standing on his own like that at 8 months and then couple weeks later he was doing that and just started taking little steps and was so thrilled with it he didn’t want to stop. She’s such a cutie!

  2. So cute…you’re in for it! My first child was crazy . He rolled over @ 9weeks, crawled @ 6 mos. and walked @ 9mos.My second walked @ 11 mos. I don’t remember when she reached her other milestones, poor second child!!!

  3. Oh my! She is sooooo adorable and driven! We call that “second child syndrome”. It can be breath-taking to watch!

Love that she got her ice pop! Go Breanna!!
