A Handful of Pictures

Today I spent a lot of time playing with Hayley and reading books to her while she hung out in her new chair. She was in a perky mood so I also did most of my housework in the early part of the day. When she went down for her two and a half hour (!) nap, I spent most of it installing a hack to my weblog so that I now have groovy little smilies.

This all means that I really don't have much to say. It was a confined day. We had fun but it rained for half the day so we were cooped up; then it was still too wet after she woke up to go to the park and it was time to cook dinner anyway (I have issues with leaving my oven on for two hours while I'm out).

Since it was a quiet day I thought I'd just share some pictures instead.

see ya!

Jeez. Only a year old and yet last night I caught her trying to sneak out while I cooked dinner.

HA!

Sometimes the best part of life is a good, hearty belly laugh in the tub.

thirsty?

Apparently she loves the taste of water that has been sucked out of a washcloth. Uh, yum? By the way, we don't have weird mold here, that fuzzy stuff on the tub is a foam soap that sprays out of a can to "entertain" kids. The first time I sprayed it, she started to cry and tried to climb out of the tub. Unimpressed, yes.

yes?

Today, playing around her chair. She spent a great deal of time sitting in it and being read to today. Or trying to climb over it, and toppling to the floor. Her head may be a little flat from bonking herself.

whew!

Whew! All pooped out after all that climbing and playing and jumping and reading. Rub my feet!

pretty table

I finally used my late grandmother's lace tablecloth since I picked up a clear vinyl tablecloth to protect it. Somehow it makes the whole dining room so much more appealing and pretty. I love this table (which also belonged to her).

That's it for today.
