Echappé?
Yup. New category for the weblog - Panic. Used it on the last entry, and I’m sure I’m going to use it a gazillion more times — unless I spontaneously combust as I’m convinced I’m going to soon.
Anyway. Had my french phone thing. I have NO idea how I did. I fucked up a few times. At first, I was going along great, and then I was in the middle of a sentence and forgot how to say something in french! Panic ensued, and I stumbled a few more times after.
Now, everyone seems to be using the same argument: it is *likely* that my french, though imperfect, is better than most people’s in Halifax. However. They’re still looking for bilingual people who can service francophone clients.
But I’m leaving it to the Fates now. What’s done is done, and we’ll see what happens.

It’s a great day for job karma, dear. I just got a phone call (not from my french interview people, but from an agency). I have a month-long full-time placement, starting tomorrow, that pays about the same as Birks did. And it seems like fun, too!
One week at that job pays my October rent. Oh, I’m quite gleeful.
Here’s hoping that your job stuff today results in equally happy news.

When I do interviews I always take into consideration a ‘nervous’ factor and I am sure the person interviewing you did as well! Good luck and if it was meant to be then it will happen!
