It’s almost Christmas and so of course everyone in my family wants to know some gift ideas so I’ve been looking around. I’m a big fan of coffee but I generally just have plain old every day coffee in the mornings and I can’t really justify spending five bucks on fancy coffee drinks at a cafe.

I think it would be awesome to get one of these Tassimo Hot Beverage Machine setups. It’s like having your own personal barista without even having to leave home. Bar codes on the discs are read by the machine when you insert them, and so it knows exactly how much water and what temperature to use. It makes coffee, tea, chocolate syrup and other beverages just like you would get at a coffee shop.

I used to have a little espresso machine and while it worked, it was a real hassle and it was difficult to clean as well. The Tassimo Hot Beverage Machine setup looks much easier on all counts. I confess, I used to be a Barista at Second Cup and it was fun but if I’m going to do it at home, I think this is the way to go.

Now to convince someone in my family to get it for me for Christmas!
