Something every parent needs after all children are in bed: Shoot the Teletubbies.

You know that you’ve been watching too much children’s programming when you’re all by yourself in the kitchen, cleaning up after supper, and you catch yourself singing the “Journey to Ernie” song off Sesame Street. Sheesh.

Maybe after tonight’s “Canadian Idol” is over (last two finalists, woo!), I should consider watching some sort of documentary to push Ernie out of my head.

You know what? I really don’t know why people take the time to send hate mail because I think that it’s meant to infuriate or depress the recipient, but honestly I think it’s absolutely hilarious, so I don’t see the point. God invented the back button on browsers so that if you don’t like a website you don’t have to waste your time writing snarky email that will only result in making people like me laugh at you for thinking that we care. But hey, I haven’t had any hate mail in years, so that was fun! I have my doubts as to whether the email address is valid but I did reply. If you’d like to know more about the exchange, I’ve copied and pasted both the original and my reply right here so that other people can be just as amused.

I posted a new entry last night but I was so tired that I couldn’t be bothered to mention it.

You wouldn’t believe how much I’m physically restraining myself right now to keep from sitting down and eating the half a tub of sour cream we currently have in the fridge. Not with anything. Just sour cream and a spoon. Every time I open the fridge I see it and it’s overwhelming how much I want to eat it.

I’m thinking of using it in something for supper tonight or else turning it into a dip for chips and vegetables by mixing some onion soup mix in with it before I really do eat it.

It must run in the family because Barbara Bush is a fucking idiot.

Here’s a picture of my 29 week belly. It was taken on Sunday (so actually that’s 29 weeks, 1 day) when we went to family day in the park with some friends. I have a ton of pictures from that which I will post later today or tonight, whenever I have some time.

It’s already the 4th of September (and the day’s almost over now). For one thing I can’t believe it’s already September at all. For another, I can’t believe that Hayley’s birthday is in 16 more days.
